Claim That Supernatural Power . Dr. Ogilvie

"Prayer is the way to release the power of God in the earth, and in us (you & me.)" "... God then led me into a deep, contemplative way of life -- everyday in prayer."

These are a couple quotes that stood out to me when Dr. Lloyd John Ogilvie spoke at Fort Smith's 36th annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, July 20th. It wasn't a charismatic, evangelistic type meeting that they are known for, but about 500 of us just listened and felt as though we had spent meaningful time with the man personally. Meaningful because you sensed a humble man of great presence - a man who had just been with the LORD, and who had been with the Lord much of his life. I wish you could have been there with me, and I encourage you to get the CD from the local CBMC who sponsored the event. I'm in the process of doing just that.

He ended with, "Are you ready to move on?" Then (1) Claim your redemption. (2) Commit yourself anew to it. (3) Claim that supernatural power.

Are you ready to move on? I am. -=db=-

"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." II Tim 1:6-7 NIV
