Mission Belize 2010 & The Kingdom of God

I wrote this letter October 7, 2008 but wanted to share some excerpts today: Greetings In Christ,

I'm writing to let you know about an exciting opportunity to sow into the kingdom of God in Belize, Central America. When I was in school, it was known as British Honduras and it's located on the pristine waters of the Caribbean just south of Mexico. It was home to the ancient Mayan civilization, which mysteriously disappeared around 1000 A.D. It's about the size of Massachusetts with a population of about 300,000. The languages are primarily English, Spanish, Kriol and Mayan.

Some friends of ours, Randy & Shelia Gaither with their thirteen-year-old son Brandon recently left Arkansas to do full time mission work there, with a long term vision and commitment.

I consider this fertile ground for sowing into the kingdom of God and eternity. I'm writing to make you aware of some of the current needs and opportunities.

Their website is: http://www.randygaither.com/ Many thanks to the volunteers who did the logo, art work and published the website.

In these days when many are being driven by fear; many are also alive to the kingdom of God, and investing in eternity. People are eternal, not things. The Scripture wouldn't say, "Store up for yourselves treasure in heaven..." if it were not possible. I intend to do so with the days I have left on the planet, and I believe I'll be welcomed to many mansions on the other side, forever, because of a little help here, led by the love, Spirit and mind of Christ. You're welcome to join in this work.

Blessings and Peace, Dwayne Bell

2009 Is History

"2009 is now history. We can learn from it and build on it, but we can’t relive it. One thing can assure 2010 a fruitful year for each of us though regardless of circumstances from local to global which may arise. That one thing is to trust in the only time tested security, Jesus Christ. To proceed through the year growing in our personal relationship with Him, and having as our goal to daily serve His purposes.

How do we do that practically?

  • By reading the Bible, praying daily, and staying in fellowship with the body of Christ. (Acts 2:42-47)
  • By discovering what He valued and modeled in life and applying those things to our daily lives at home, school, and work. He spoke the message of God’s Kingdom, loved unconditionally, did good deeds, was faithful, honest, spoke the truth in love, managed His time and resources well, was not selfish, jealous, bitter, unforgiving, or unjustly critical.
  • By depending on the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to do these things. (Acts 1:8)

As with any year since the beginning of humankind, we can live it rightly loving and serving God and remaining in His will and protection, or we can take our chances on our own." Good words Pastor Craig -=db=-
