"2009 is now history. We can learn from it and build on it, but we can’t relive it. One thing can assure 2010 a fruitful year for each of us though regardless of circumstances from local to global which may arise. That one thing is to trust in the only time tested security, Jesus Christ. To proceed through the year growing in our personal relationship with Him, and having as our goal to daily serve His purposes.
How do we do that practically?
- By reading the Bible, praying daily, and staying in fellowship with the body of Christ. (Acts 2:42-47)
- By discovering what He valued and modeled in life and applying those things to our daily lives at home, school, and work. He spoke the message of God’s Kingdom, loved unconditionally, did good deeds, was faithful, honest, spoke the truth in love, managed His time and resources well, was not selfish, jealous, bitter, unforgiving, or unjustly critical.
- By depending on the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to do these things. (Acts 1:8)
As with any year since the beginning of humankind, we can live it rightly loving and serving God and remaining in His will and protection, or we can take our chances on our own." Good words Pastor Craig -=db=-
