I received the following thoughts from Brian via email this morning while working on this blog in Japan. Indeed, how great is our God?
How big is our God and how small are we? Just a thought – current science says that in the Milky Way Galaxy there are between 200-600 billion stars. How may galaxies? The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) site estimates there is hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe. A recent German super-computer simulation estimates that the number may be as high as 500 billion! J

One morning I thought "how could Lucifer possibly think he could overthrow the Kingdom of our God." As soon as I had the thought I heard, "He didn't know Me." What an awesome truth. Lucifer, one of the three most beautiful and powerful creatures God ever created did not know Him! But he saw Him, he experienced His power, he heard Him speak with unsearchable wisdom - but He did not know Him. The truth is that all of eternity will not provide opportunity to know the depths of our God. He is beyond knowing the depths of who He is. We will have eternity to try, but no one will ever reach the end of His person. Glory to Him who reigns forever! Amen.
