Reporting from Belize No.2

Well, well, well, all is well. Our team of thirteen men - fourteen with Randy, coming from three states and four churches, has completed its intended work in the jungle village of More Tomorrow, Belize.

We all met, some of us for the first time, in the Belize City airport Saturday, attending church in the newly constructed yet unpainted church on Sunday, hitting the ground running Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The Lord gave us good success and great weather. We began each day at 6:00 AM, eating breakfast at 7:00 AM, arriving in the village about 8:30 AM. Joining in our tasks for each day were two village men, Clifford and Clive, along with a host of visitors, mainly children along with a few women and some older men.

In short order and good fashion we completed our main objective of painting the church, inside and out, allowing us to take on other tasks like computer repair by Colby, art work in the church interior by Ralph, teaching an astronomy class in the village school by Pete, and musical performances for classes in the village school by David and Craig.

Then on top of that, Craig and Dale felt strongly we should commit the team to paint the village school, a request made by the principal, but something we hadn’t dreamed or though of doing. Randy concurred. One long day, fifteen gallons of paint and several rollers later the village of More Tomorrow had two freshly painted and beautiful buildings, bringing the people much joy.

That in turn brought much joy to our team, who has fallen in love with the gentle, humble, loving, gracious people of More Tomorrow. May our King be blessed and honored in this place and in all the nations. He is our God. More Tomorrow, from Dwayne Bell.
