Reporting from Belize

Our Internet connection in the jungle here is neither reliable nor fast. But I want to communicate a little to you for prayer support and for those who have been to Belize or follow the church planting in Belize with interest.

During our first day here, on Sunday night in the village, two men gave their hearts to Christ. Glen Charlie and Jose are their names. They each have a troubled past involving addictions. Please pray with us here that the Lord help them quickly and mightily to overcome these habits and replace them with healthy, joyful ones. One young man named Clifford who recently became a believer came forward in the service asking to be baptized, the happy event being scheduled for this Sunday, for all three. :)

We’ve been busy Monday and Tuesday painting the new church inside and out, visiting with the villagers, and playing with the kids. There is a real and growing friendship with Randy, the mission teams, and the villagers that is heart warming and joyful.

The village school principal has asked us to paint their school. So we’ve taken up a collection for paint and intend to do that today, as well as get Ralph on his way to painting the mural in the front of the newly painted church.

Thanks for your prayers, and greetings from Belize!
